Commercial English Course
The English for Italy Ltd. commercial English course concentrates purely on business English.
There is no grammar at all in the commercial English course therefore you ned to speak English up to and including level 4 'Upper Intermediate' or have a result over 75% in our free on-line level test before you're ready for this course.
The facts:
There are 8 sections in this course. Each section contains 5 lessons:- Vocabulary, reading, listening, writing and conversation. Section 8 includes revision of the entire course and is used as an exam. Therefore all of this section is corrected by your teacher in England. A certificate showing your result is available.
Lesson 1 Vocabulary
Both general and more specific vocabulary are introduced and practiced in enjoyable ways to help memorize the new words.
Lesson 2 Reading
Many of the articles used throughout the commercial course are researched from specialists in their field. They are useful articles designed to retain the interest of the student and teach them useful information while they practice their English. For example, there is an article about time management, (how to get the most out of your working day and not let time slip away), an article on sales and marketing techniques which is full of ideas you will want to put into practice to help increase your sales, an article on how to give excellent customer service with help and ideas, there's even an article on how to best manage your personal finances!
Lesson 3 Listening
Recordings and video are used. The situations are realistic, students will be answering questions, writing minutes of meetings and writing a dictation among other exercises.
Lesson 4 Writing
A reference is given to help write letters, faxes, emails and commercial reports. Students also try interpreting! English for italy Ltd gives you the subject and guidelines. All students written work is emailed to us for correction with any mistakes explained.
Lesson 5 Conversation
There is a 30 minute one to one conversation lesson included in each section with your native English teacher (who speaks Italian). This makes a total of 8 conversation lessons during the course to further practice your business English. Your mistakes will be corrected during the lessons using messenger*.
